The is fishery is well located close to the larger towns of Bolton - 3.5 miles and Bury - 4.5 miles. The property is accessed off the A676 Bolton Road. Church Gardens Fishery
Originally constructed to supply water for a former bleach works the lake is thought be in excess of 100 years old. The lake extends to 1.7 acres (0.68 ha) with an average depth of 10ft and approx. 25+ pegs. The lake is bordered by a boundary wall and fence, with a path to all pegs. The Riding Gate Brook runs along the western boundary.
Fish stock
The fishery is known for large bags of fish, particularly bream (up to 5lbs) and carp up to 20lbs, tench (to 6lbs), crucian carp, roach and perch.
Pricing
The fishery is currently operated on a day ticket basis, organised open matches have also been popular with visiting anglers. Day ticket price is £8/day, dawn to dusk.
