The Lower Lode Fishery is a single bank fishery located near Tewkesbury on the lower River Severn. The fishery extends to a total of 3.1km (1.94 miles) of fishing on the right hand bank.

The fishery is located at Forthampton, upstream and downstream of the Lower Lode Inn Public House.
Lower Lode Fishery
The fishery comprises two sections. The upper section extends to around 1,542m starting below the Upper Lode lock and includes a 389m channel of slack water off the main channel. The lower section starts below the Lower Lode Inn offering a further 1,577m of main river channel. The width of the main river varies between 40 to 80 meters.
Access & Car Parking
The fishery is accessed by the Bishops Walk Road through Forthampton. The lease contains four designated parking spaces for the fishery, next to the Lower Lode Inn. The upper section can be accessed from Lode Lane, which gives access to the upper section.
Fish Stocks
The Lower Lode is a mixed fishery known for specimen zander and pike, together with roach, bream, barbel, chub and carp. The British record Zander was caught from the stretch in 2007 at 21lbs 5oz. The lower Severn also benefits from an annual migration of elvers, which have previously been commercially fished (under licence).
Income
The fishery is currently run on a membership basis, with limited day tickets sold from the Lower Lode Inn. Further details available from the agent.
